My Child at School (MCAS) App
My Child at School App
We recognise that communication with our families is crucial and we are striving to ensure that we can stay in touch with each other in the most efficient way possible.
Our main method of communication is now via the student and family portal, 'My Child at School' (MCAS). This can be accessed online or via an app.
This portal will allow you to log in and access details about your child (or children) within school. Currently on MCAS, you can view and, in places, respond to:
Attendance and absence information – you can notify us why a student is off or provide a doctor’s note
Behaviour updates – you'll receive updates about your child’s appreciations, correction notifications and behaviour events throughout the day so you can determine the time they will leave the Academy
Class lists – see the classes and teachers your child will be studying in.
Clubs / Trips – access and pay for upcoming trips for your child
Dinner Money – view and top up the balance of your child for them to purchase food in our canteens
Parental consent – provide your consent for a variety of school activities
Reports – you can track how well your child is learning
Timetables – you can see what lessons your child has each day. This helps you determine if they are studying PE and hence, what uniform they should wear
Update student and contact details – update information about your child and your contact information
You will in time be able to view and respond to:
Assessments – find out information about your child’s upcoming examinations
Parents evenings – view information about upcoming parents evenings
