Learning Habits: On Task in Line Ups

Posted 29th June 2022

For the remainder of the term, we will be introducing our final learning habit, On Task. We’ll start focusing on ‘On Task’ behaviour outside class, taking a close look at On Task in Line Ups.

Line Ups are an essential cultural routine. Line Ups ensure all students are able to arrive to lesson safely, in a calm state and ready to learn immediately. By focusing on ‘On Task’ in line ups we can ensure line ups are as efficient as possible, so that we protect every minute of learning time.

One of our values is to ‘Be Fair.’ Consequently, it is right that our students should receive adequate information and guidance to support them in meeting the very highest expectations. Therefore, orientation for our reinforced expectations for line ups will begin on the 27th of June and will last a full week. This will ensure students are sufficiently aware of why the habit is important and what is expected.

From 4th July students not meeting the On Task expectation can be given corrections.
