Place2Be: On-site mental health support

At Dixons Broadgreen Academy we are delighted to partner with Place2Be, a leading children’s mental health charity that provides in-school support and expert training to help improve the emotional wellbeing of students, families, and staff.

With Place2Be, we offer:

  • One-to-one counselling sessions for children who need a safe, confidential space to talk

  • Place2Talk: a lunchtime drop-in service where students can speak to a trained counsellor about any worries they may have

  • Support for parents and carers through advice, referrals, and parent sessions

  • Professional development for staff to help them support children’s emotional needs

All Place2Be counsellors working in our school are fully qualified and experienced in working with children. The service is discreet, accessible, and tailored to each child's needs.

How to access support

If you feel your child would benefit from emotional support or counselling:

Speak to your child’s class teacher or a member of our pastoral team. Encourage them to utilise the Place2Talk slips and put them in the Place2Be post-box by the tuck shop!
